Hey guys, just another quick playthrough of the amazing Resident Evil 2 Remake. Being that I achieved an S+ Rank in several of my prior playthroughs with Claire (Scenario A), I unlocked her infinite minigun. Even though I'm not a big fan of using infinite weapons, I decided to do a speedrun using these insane guns just to have a little fun.
Note I: I'm NOT chasing any world record speedrun times here! Just having a little fun!

➡ Will you go after the speedrun world record in the future?
If I were to do a real speedrun, I would do it on a PC, simply because the knife damage on the PC version of the game is tied to framerate. The higher the framerate, the more damage is caused by your knife attacks. This is why some of you have seen those extremely fast "knife only" G kills and were left scratching your heads. This is not possible on consoles. So attempting to do a record run on a console leaves me at a severe disadavantage.
➡ How come Claire runs so fast in some walkthrough videos I see?
Good question. For those interested in speedrunning RE2, please be aware that you run/move much faster in caution than you do when your health is "fine" or in "danger." This applies to consoles and PC versions of the game.
➡ Any advice for those attempting an S+ ranking in hardcore mode?
The first rule of thumb is knowing when to run and when to engage the enemies. Ammo is scarce is hardcore mode. Enemies deal more damage. And your attacks do way less damage. So a good tip would be to stun zombies whenever possible, as opposed to killing them. Shooting a zombie in the leg stuns them faster than a headshot in hardcore mode. In standard mode, it doesn't matter.
For lickers, just walk past them. They can't see you. They can hear and smell you though.
Other than this, I would say make sure your aiming is decent, you have good item management, limit back and forth as much as possible... and know what weapons work best on each boss or enemy.
